Beg.
& Int./Adv. East Coast Swing Group Classes & Party
(Charlottesville-Zabor
Dance)
Every
TUESDAY (for the month of June), Edwin and Amberlyn will offer two half
hour (30 minute) group East Coast Swing classes. (The style of swing
that is offered each Tuesday changes monthly.) These classes are designed
to be on-going lessons, meaning that the participants are not required to
attend the lessons in a sequence fashion, but instead can come to whichever
Tuesdays are more convenient.
Even
though the technical levels of the lessons are maintained, every class that
is offered will teach a different dance pattern. In this manner, the students
who decide to attend the classes on a regular basis will be able to build
an extensive vocabulary, while the non-regular students will still be able
to gain knowledge from the class and grow at their own pace.
EVERYONE
IS INVITED!
The
beginner East Coast Swing class will take place from 8-8:30 p.m.
Immediately following this class will be an intermediate/advance East Coast
Swing class, which will commence at 8:30 p.m. and conclude at 9
p.m.
These
classes are held at Zabor Dance.
Also,
for those who are interested in practicing what they've learned, or just for
those who would like to become more efficient dancers in social settings,
Edwin and Amberlyn offer an Open Dance Party every Tuesday right
after the East Coast Swing classes. The party is held from 9-10 p.m.
Although the classes will focus on a specific topic each month, the parties
will include most forms of swing.
For
these classes and the party it is REQUIRED that the participants either
wear ballroom, jazz, character, tango, swing, or ballet shoes, or bring
a pair of socks that can be worn instead. Please DO NOT wear street shoes,
sneakers, or slip-on sandals for they will not be allowed on the dance floor
(even if they have never been worn before). If you do not wear shoes that
fit the requirements, you will be asked to remove your shoes.
In
order for Zabor Dance to provide you better service, it's strongly suggested
that you arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your class, in order to give yourself
enough time to sign-up and prepare. In previous classes, a large number of
participants have been experienced. Therefore, you MUST sign-up before taking
the classes.
For
information about class and party costs, or for answers to other questions
regarding these classes and party, feel free to email Zabor
Dance or call (434) 227-1709.
